Baldur’s Gate 3 is a story-rich, party-based RPG set in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons that recently became a hot topic amongst gamers and it’s for a good reason. Personally, I have been playing this game non-stop because of how much fun I’m having. But despite how well this game is, there is something that can still be improved and the perfect solution to that is the modding community. These are 5 mods that would help make a more complete experience while playing Baldur’s Gate 3. You can find many other mods available at Nexus Mods. The easiest way to install these mods is via Nexus Mod’s own mod manager, Vortex.
This mod, as the name suggests, presents more choices regarding hairstyles that can be chosen during character creation, especially for female characters. If the existing hairstyles are not enough for you, this mod and many hair mod packs are made just for you!
It’s another cosmetic mod that absolutely gives you so many choices to choose from. This mod is for people who don’t find the in-game faces and presets satisfactory enough. This mod will allow you to have even more freedom in customizing and creating your characters.
In Baldur’s Gate 3, instead of being able to level up to level 20 similar to the actual DnD tabletop game, this game only has a max level up to level 12 even including multiclassing. This mod would allow you to level up to level 20 via multiclassing. However, you would not be able to get more levels by trying to go past the original 12 max level cap. This mod would allow you to have freedom in multiclassing and give you more power to play around with classes.
Despite how great this game is, there is not a lot of freedom regarding camera movements in this game. It can either be an almost top-down camera angle or a really close camera that’s too close and is mainly angled too downward. This mod would fix all of that by making it so that the camera can move as freely as you would like similar to how a normal Third-person games’ camera would function which I personally prefer over the original camera’s movements.
The only type of movement within Baldur’s Gate 3 you can make is via your mouse. Walking and running is all through clicking and holding down your mouse while the buttons WASD on your keyboard, which would normally work as movement keys, are instead used to move the cameras. This would overwrite that and allow the game to use WASD as movement keys like many other RPGs. Combined with Native Camera Tweaks, the movement in this game can be completely overhauled and allow for more immersive gameplay. However, both of these mods require another mod called Native Mod Loader in order for it to work properly so do keep that in mind.
That’s it for my mod recommendation! Thank you for reading and if you have any mod suggestions, comment down below! If you’re interested in reading more about gaming, here are some gaming articles on our website!
