In this episode, our heroes decide to save Misha, but she discovers that the masked Reunion soldier that kidnapped her is a familiar face.
The story thus far
Natural disasters with unidentified origins have periodically struck various locations on Terra. Therefore, most people moved to live in mobile cities created over time to avoid these natural calamities.
Oripathic individuals face persecution in regimes of segregation and hard labor since their bodies gradually crystallize and become a new source of infection at the moment of death.
People who have experienced government oppression start to resist. In an effort to rid the world of the sickness, Rhodes Island, a pharmaceutical corporation seeking treatment for Oripathy, picks up guns and starts a quest to save all lives from the disease.
Misha wakes up
her kidnapper is Skullshatterer, and moments after taking off his mask Misha immediately recognizes him and hugs him, saying that she thought he was dead.
They talk for a while exchanging opinions about Reunion and whether their cause is just or not, in this dialogue we learn that Skullshatterer is Misha’s brother and was taken away as a child by the government because he was infected.
During the stakeout, Exusiai makes too much noise and they get spotted by some Reunion goons, so they have to fight until the others arrive to offer support.
Our gang is already on the move, everyone is joining, and Skullshatterer doesn’t want to escape or negotiate as suggested by Misha, so prepares his troops for the fight.
Battle in the desert
The battle starts, and The Doctor perfectly gives orders to all the troops as Skullshatterer simply gives the “charge” order, probably because he wants to go after the doctor first.
Disabling the doctor, their strongest source In terms of strategy Reunion could have some chance of victory.
And so he does, but his first attempt is blocked by Hoshiguma, so he tries to blow himself up, but Amiya stops him with a powerful beam, scaring even herself, that kills Skullshatterer.
All of this happens under Misha’s eyes, even if she once believed that Rhodes Island was on her side, Amiya killing her brother certainly has changed things up.
Even Amiya was shocked by her power, and her ability to kill that fast Skullshatterer, I suspect that this plot point will be the key to the next episode’s resolution between Misha and Amiya.
