Previously on Bibliophile Princess, we saw that Elianna was getting reprimanded by Count Hayden, a royal that is not too fond of her political positions. She also met Lord Irwin, a blue-haired mysterious man that seems to have his eyes on her, for an unknown reason.
Opening Scene
We open where Episode 6 left off, with Elianna on the balcony speaking to Lord Irwin. He introduced himself, says a few mysterious things and then walks off, leaving Elianna confused.
She Said No, Dude
Elianna has some free time and is spending her day in the library when she overhears two servants talking to one another. The woman is Anna, and the man character is trying to pressure her into dating him.

She declines, stating that no matter how many times he asks she will continue to say no. She uses a historical metaphor that the man does not understand. Elianna jumps into the conversation and elaborates on what Ann means, and the man grows angry, reaching towards Elianna.

She kicks him in the balls, remembering that Jean — her guard and personal assistant — told her to ‘Make it count’ if she were to do such a thing.
The Ghost of Jealousy
After the scene with Anna, we hear shrieks coming from the hallway. Elianna, Lord Theodore (Christopher’s uncle) and the others run over to see Lilia, Sophia and other ladies huddled together in fear. They swarm Lord Theodore and swear they’ve just seen a ghost through the window in another building nearby.
We learn that there’s a rumor that whoever sees the ghost will be cursed. Sophia pretends to be extremely frightened by this and attempts to get Theodore to stay by her side until she’s calmed down; Theodore refuses in a roundabout way.

Back in her room, Sophia laments to her maid that Theodore keeps giving Elianna attention over her. Her maid tells her she has an idea with a mischievous smile.
Christopher’s Lament
We cut to see what Prince Christopher has been up to. In addition to killing and capturing bandits, we see Elianna is practically the only thing on his mind.

As he takes a bath, we hear his worries that Elianna is an easy target without her fiancé beside her. He worries that if anything happens to her, it would be his fault. He calls himself selfish because he simply can’t be without her; although, he notes she would be safer without him.
An Accident Avoided
Lady Sophia tells Elianna that she should accompany the visiting lords on a hunt and give them praise as they kill animals. Anna accompanies Elianna on this task so she is not alone.
However, we see Sophia’s close friend Caroline riding a horse that is going completely wild. We learn that was initially the horse that Elianna was supposed to ride. Jean is told to go and help Caroline. When he does, a wild boar runs towards Elianna and her horse freaks out, bucking her off with nobody nearby to help.

Lord Irwin, however, catches Elianna mid-fall in his arms. They share a horse as he takes her back to the castle, where onlookers remark that they look extremely graceful together. Sophia is angry that her plan failed, but the maid tells her everything is under control. Through the maid’s confidence, we learn that Lord Irwin may be in cahoots with the mysterious maid.

Cliffhanger, end episode, roll outro.
Opinions / Analysis
I enjoy seeing Elianna without Christopher, however, I believe it’s about time he return home. I’m getting a bit frustrated watching her be completely oblivious to the schemes around her every day, and I know Christopher is more observant than she is. I feel like I would like Elianna more as a character if we saw her slowly becoming more observant and keen as a royal as time passes. As of now, however, she’s staying extremely static and naive.
In addition, I like that Lord Irwin isn’t the mysterious handsome man he was portrayed to be initially. The maid, however, is definitely suffering from the “Random Antagonist” syndrome this series seems to be afflicted with. No idea who she is, or why she’s targeting Elianna. The same went for Maudslay back in the Star of Sissel arc.
I predict that Christopher will return home next episode and save Elianna from whatever Lord Irwin is planning. I also predict that rumors will begin to spread that Elianna is cheating on the Prince with Lord Irwin.
One thing I definitely want to note, however, is a valid complaint about this series’ art style. The women seem to get way more variation in their facial features than the men do. For example, Christopher and Irwin look completely identical except for their color schemes. For the men, there’s two versions; Handsome (Irwin, Glenn, Christopher) and Old (Maudslay, Hayden).
I hope we get more Drama next episode!
