The Episode
If there wasn’t enough evidence that the man who stole Dongsu’s eye and potentially tried to kill him, is an asshole, we now find out that he has cheated on his girlfriend with their coworker – all because she was acting too friendly in public with him and he wanted to keep things on the low.
Back to Dongsu taking a beating from the random man at the restaurant: We are taken back to the first time that Dongsu exhibited signs of being different: When he was five years old, he fell from a tree and broke his foot, but he immediately put it back in place and it was as if nothing had happened, he felt no pain. Later in his life, after the main incident has happened, he looks back at it and realizes he must have been born this way.
He starts wondering if he is invincible or if he can die if he gets stabbed in his heart, and he also realizes that his pinky finger never grew back. Should he cut another finger and hide it to see if it will grow back on its own? No. Instead, he goes on his computer and searches on the internet if there are people that never die, surely someone will reply to it in a serious way. Maybe even the man who tried to kill him.
Saki Thoughts
The man is such a dislikable character, everything about him and his personality makes me irritated. Kudos to Shin Dae-sung for building his character in a way that I can say that I HATE him!
I wonder what happened to the half of Dongsu’s pinky finger that he has never found. Could it be possible that the same man who has his eye, also has his finger? Or maybe it is really just lost in the middle of a forest…But maybe, if the man also has his finger, do you think that at some point Dongsu will be connected with his finger and feel what the man feels?
