D3 Publisher released a short 10-minute clip on YouTube showing the gameplay of their next game, Samurai Maiden.
This new game tells the story of a young woman from the 21st century with sharp swordsmanship skills, who finds herself in Honnō-ji during the Sengoku period! Together with a trio of newfound ninja friends, she races through the Underworld beneath Honnō-ji, confronted by enraged corpses at every turn!
The game is scheduled to be released in Japan on December 1st already this year and the global version will only reach us (if you are not from Japan) on December 8th.
Samurai Maiden, will this be the new successor to the famous Senran Kagura franchise?
I’ll be honest with you, this developer and publisher don’t give me much confidence, they never made games that I was interested in. But from what I saw in the gameplay that came out, even I was interested.
The action, the fluidity of the combat, and the voice action seem to be quite good.
From what I have been seeing in the comments, from players of other titles from the company, the characters’ movements and animation seem to have evolved a lot.
The choice of graphics type, being the anime game, seems a bit questionable to me. They’re good, but there’s something that feels like the characters are in a gray area between anime and reality.
But this time I’m going to try the game and when it comes out I’ll do a game review!
So don’t miss it and stay tuned!!
