Tokito faces his past in an attempt to regain his memories, and Sekido does the unthinkable with the other three emotion demons!
The Forming

If the emotion demons weren’t strong enough on their own, the demon slayers now have this absolute monster to deal with. Physically he’s got the appearance of a young child, but his presence alone gave off enough power to restrict Tanjiro and Genya from even moving. The way the tambourines formed a circle behind him kind of reminded me of Enel from One Piece, but unlike Enel this demon makes use of them and commands his ferocious wooden dragon by beating them.
Tanjiro’s Speech

Anyone else know as soon as the newly formed demon started talking about morality and how you can’t kill weak and defenceless people that Tanjiro was going to have his Shonen MC moment and give a passionate speech? He’s right though, this demon is sounding like a massive hypocrite. “You can’t kill weak people!” Proceeds to slaughter hundreds of innocent civilians/swordsmiths. Something ain’t adding up!
Tokito’s Past

So it was Tokito‘s father that he was desperately trying to remember. I had the idea that it was his older brother, but it makes sense that his father would pass down knowledge to him. How did he end up forgetting though? It seemed like it was a head injury, as when he was shown with Ubuyashiki a few episodes ago he had bandages all over his head.
Episode Thoughts
Usually I really don’t like the use of CGI in anime, but the way that it’s been used on the wooden dragons is pretty nice due to how well it integrates with the rest of the environment. That’s a terrible explanation I know, but the way that Ufotable have designed it to blend in with its surroundings is commendable and I gotta say I’m a fan.
