Jujutsu Kaisen is a shonen manga written and illustrated by Gege Akutami that features a supernatural and action-pack adventure of Yuji Itadori and his classmates at Jujutsu High School battling curses. The manga was first serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018 and became a global success. As such, Viz Media published the manga’s first three chapters in English translation for western readers.
Furthermore, Viz Media began publishing its chapters digitally after switching to its new Shonen Jump model in December 2018. Also, Shueisha published Jujutsu Kaisen chapters digitally on its MANGA Plus service.
The manga’s story is focused on Yuji Itadori, a somehow average teenager possessing immense strength for some reason. Because of his strength, he’s always been scouted by several sports clubs from his school but decided to stay within members of the Occult Research Club. One day, his club found a cursed object that will turn Yuji’s life upside down.

Jujutsu Kaisen creator Gege Akutami hints that his manga will probably end within 1 year according to his written statement read during the Jump Fiesta 23 event on Saturday. Akutami said, “If you accompany me for up to one more year (probably), I will be very happy”.
Gege Akutami previously said in an interview in February 2021 that his manga Jujutsu Kaisen will most likely end within two years. However, Akutami’s statement doesn’t seem to provide any signs of confidence from his statement back then.
With the latest chapters getting exciting by the day, this is sad news for JJK fans. If author Gege Akutami said was true, we can expect that its final chapter will be a bombastic and relieving final moment for the characters of the manga. Did you enjoy this article?
