The episode begins with the Goblin Lord trying to flee, fearing the might of the adventurers. However, Goblin Slayer confronts him, initiating a tense battle.

Amidst the carnage of the defeated goblin horde, two goblin champions face off against veteran adventurers. Both champions meet their end—one bisected by a greatsword and the other bested by the spearman.

As the battle with the Goblin Lord rages on, Goblin Slayer’s situation becomes dire. After a close call, a timely intervention by the priestess using her protection spell traps and crushes the Goblin Lord. As it pleads for its life in a human tongue, a haunting flashback reveals a goblin tricking and exploiting women in a similar fashion. Undeterred, Goblin Slayer delivers the final blow.

The aftermath includes a tender moment between the priestess and Goblin Slayer. They head back, reassuring the red-haired girl that the threat has ended.

A switch to the bustling town unveils a hero’s party discussing the evil sect and the goblin menace. They express gratitude for Goblin Slayer’s work, allowing them to enjoy festivities.

Back at the guild, there’s a celebration with the adventurers. A brief talk about rewards reaffirms that every goblin, no matter how strong, is worth just one gold coin.

Goblin Slayer, in a moment of reflection with the priestess and the red-haired girl, admits that he still wants to be an adventurer for as long as he can. He gifts the priestess with his goblin lord bounty and acknowledges the importance of seeking help, harking back to his tragic past.

In an intimate gesture, he reveals his face to the priestess, earning her admiration. The rare sight causes a commotion, with everyone rushing to see. Overwhelmed by the positive reactions, Goblin Slayer is comforted, realizing he isn’t alone.

My Thoughts
The finale of the first season is a good one. It shows how much Goblin Slayer has learned since the beginning of the series, and how much he’s grown as a person. He learned to be more open, communicative, and reliant on his friends. Despite him still being reserved, this is a huge and positive change in his character. The events of the last two episodes also conclude nicely. All the loose ends were tied up and overall it was a happy ending for this season.
