This new episode features a tournament arc, full of fights and some background on the character’s relationships.
The story thus far
She meets a new classmate Hiura Towa, who defeated her in the final match, and finds out that Towa wants to start a judo club at their school. Michi and Towa join forces to form the club and continue their passion for judo together.
The episode begins with the tournament qualifiers, and Hiura and Erika’s respective teams clashing in the first round of the tournament.
In the second round, Kusumigaoka faced off against Aoba West. Sanae of Aoba West fought against Sono, but she underestimated her, and Sono ended up defeating her. This set the stage for Hiura and Erika’s rematch, with both judokas determined to prove themselves.
We saw a flashback of the moment when Hiura first came across Erika in the Judo club and was inspired by her confidence and inner strength.
The winning point
Erika was bitter at Hiura for not going to the same school and losing against her, so the match seemed like it was headed for a draw.
But there was still Michi, who might score the winning point. We were left in suspense at the end of the episode, wondering who will come out victorious in this match.
Overall, the fourth episode of “Ippon Again” was a great watch, with an exciting and emotional story that kept us at the edge of our seats.
The characters, their struggles, and the unique judo techniques kept us glued to the screen until the very end. We can’t wait for the next episode and see what happens next.
