These complaints have been made for some time and the committee itself cannot do anything against them, but in the past, it has defended the position of certain animes.
BPO, the Japanese broadcasting ethics committee, revealed that complaints have been made about a certain anime that is currently running and that by the description given in the complaints would be the original anime series Akiba Maid War by studio P.A. Works
In October 2022, the ethics committee received many complaints and many of them were related to anime. Such complaints said:
“Off-hours anime showed a scene of mass murder carried out with weapons while lively music played. Both the assassin and those being killed moved in a similar fashion to the dance moves, and a large number of people had blood gushing out as they died. I don’t think a production that makes light of human death is suitable for the medium of television that is watched by many people.”
Past Cases
In terms of power, the committee itself has no chance of canceling the show on television. Having to transfer your role to another organization. In the past, the committee has already issued announcements in which its position was on the side of the anime in question, as we can see at the time when Demon Slayer is receiving a lot of complaints.
Akiba Maid War
The animation is done by P.A. Works (Angel Beats, Another), Akiba Maid War is directed by Sōichi Masui (Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai), and the characters are under the anime design and direction of Manabu Nii (Kakegurui twin). The music is authored by Yoshihiro Ike (Dororo).
The anime tells the story of a young girl, Nagomi Kazuhira, who, full of hope and desire, moves to Tokyo to fulfill her dream of being a maid who works in cafes in the busy area of Akiba. Everything doesn’t always go as we want, and the same thing happened with our dear Nagomi when she noticed that her work is based on dirty money and debts.

If you were looking for a semi-realistic and well-made anime, well you’re in luck because we just showed you one. As much as there are complaints, we all know that we can never please everyone and that these complaints don’t mean anything. As mentioned, Demon Slayer received equal complaints and the series is ranked as one of the best in recent years. So good luck trying to take it down!
In my opinion, and as I’m reviewing episodes at the same time. I can say that the anime is quite well done, with the background I have in animation I can tell you that the passion and dedication put not only into the quality of the animation but in the writing of the script is worth your time.
