Crispy fried Villain
Thus, a decisive blow is dealt to Tomura Shigaraki! Or is it? Endeavor’s Prominence Burn has turned out to be futile and though Shigaraki’s body is a crispy piece of bacon, all for one isn’t done with him yet. There’s been something that’s eating away at me. This fight was supposed to be more impactful than this. When Deku finally stepped up to face off against Shigaraki it was a knockdown drag-out fight. It was a struggle for dear life.
Too much too quick
Yet, their fight lasts barely two episodes and we already had the quirk clash. At my best guess, I would guess this entire clash with Shigaraki and the league has three more episodes. The epilogue and fallout will be about two, and if they stretch it, —– Todoroki will be about five, which leaves about five episodes open. If they finish this season out with the Tartarus escapees arc, then I’m afraid season 7 might just be 1 hour. That is if Horikoshi truly intends to keep his word of ending My Hero next year.
No artistic expression
Don’t get me wrong, I can always appreciate that an anime chooses to adhere to the source material rather than go the One Piece or Naruto route of obscene amounts of filler, but I feel like studio bones have no form of artistic expression when it comes to how they craft these episodes.
Pacing is being hurt
Their pacing is breakneck, their scenes feel too much like exposition and maybe the animation could use a bit of tightening. Overall, the emotions aren’t nearly at the height they were when I read them. Still, that doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate the little details. Like the sound design when Bakugo first gets hit, the design of Deku’s berserker form
Ochako Versus Toga
I wish they devoted more time to Ochako and Toga’s confrontation though. It again is supposed to be a high point in the series where you see and understand Toga’s motivation properly for the first time. Even if it is warped, you finally get an idea of the kind of girl she is. Still, the juiciest part of this arc is yet to come. Overall, My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 10 gets a 7/10
