My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog is the official English localized title of Inu ni Nattara Suki na Hito ni Hirowareta.
Last episode, we saw Pochita (our protagonist in dog-form) meet Nekotani, Inukai-san’s only friend. Pochita has a plan to convince Nekotani to take him home.
This episode, we’ll see him act on that plan, I’m sure!
Content
Pochita crawls towards Nekotani and whines a bit to get her attention, only for Nekotani to shriek and begin to cry. Pochita realizes that Nekotani is, in fact, afraid of dogs. Obviously a pun that cats (Neko) are scared of dogs.
Pochita realizes that his escape plan won’t go too well. As Nekotani escapes from him onto a bed, a centipede on the wall crawls onto Nekotani, but she’s so afraid of Pochita that she doesn’t notice it.
He jumps onto the bed, causing Nekotani to run out the bedroom door and trip, hitting her knee. The centipede crawls onto her back and under her shirt.
Apparently, Nekotani is asleep after the fall for some reason. Pochita follows the centipede and crawls under her shirt, and ends up unhooking her bra in the process to look for it.
We see her bare-chest for a bit until he finds the centipede and crawls out through the top of her shirt. He tosses away the centipede. She wakes up and panics, picking up and throwing Pochita away.
Pochita tries to figure out how to approach Nekotani without her being scared of him, so he gets just close enough to lick her. When she lets him get closer, he licks the wounds on her knee, causing her to laugh because it tickles.
Inukai spots this display and gets jealous, and purposefully stubs her own pinky toe on the corner of the wall so that Pochita will lick it, too. Pochita does, and Inukai gets all weird like she always does with Pochita.
Inukai demands to know what Nekotani did with Pochita while she was away, and Nekotani admits that he went into her shirt. Inukai is angry, saying that he hasn’t even done that to her yet. Thus, Inukai lifts up her own dress to get Pochita to go inside, and chases him until he does.
Nekotani is flabbergasted by all of this, and asks Inukai what on earth she’s doing, but then asks if she got jealous because she got along with Pochita. She promises she won’t steal Pochita from Inukai.
Before Nekotani leaves, she pets Pochita and tells him she’s thankful for him getting the centipede — apparently somehow she figured it out, although she was totally asleep at that time. Pochita tells himself that even though it didn’t go as planned, he’s just happy Nekotani seemingly doesn’t hate him.
Opinions / Analysis
I don’t have any opinions about this series, but I’m curious as to who exactly the audience for this anime is. If someone wanted to see nudity, wouldn’t they just go on an X site instead? Why are they watching this?
And it’s not like this series will air on television because of its nudity. So I can’t help but wonder simply who this is for.
