Warner Bros. Japan has revealed a surprising plan to produce a new anime adaptation of Buronson and Tetsuo Hara’s iconic manga, “Hokuto no Ken” (Fist of the North Star).
This upcoming anime is produced to celebrate the series’ 40th anniversary and it will introduce an entirely new cast. Unfortunately, there are no further details regarding the new anime whether its format or release date. So, more announcement is expected to be coming at a later date.

Fist of the North Star manga was originally serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 1983 to 1988. As one of the pillars of the 80’s era of Shonen Jump, it received a two-season anime series in 1984, consisting of 152 episodes. Due to its popularity and title as an all-time classic over the years, the manga has also been adapted to various television anime adaptations, movies, and spinoff series.
