It’s back to school for Mahiro, and this time…she has final exams! Meanwhile, Mahiro gets a chance to bake a dessert. Will Mahiro’s next few days turn out well? Stick around to find out more.

The Big Exams
While Momiji is shocked that Mahiro has already finished her homework, Onii-chan explains how Mihari “tortured” her while she was absent from school. Mihari suddenly brings snacks for the two to enjoy. After Momiji states how much she dislikes math, Mihari sits down to help her out. This leads Mahiro to think about how easy it’ll be to pass all of the final exams.
While Momiji and Mahiro walk to school, they see Miyo-chan and Asahi passing by. After seeing Asahi feeling not-so-hot due to the exams, Mahiro reassures her that she will get through the exams. As Mahiro begins her test, she wakes up a classmate to keep her up while taking the exam, which only leads to Onii-chan falling asleep throughout the test too.
After taking all of her tests, Momiji is relieved that she has to take the makeup exams since Mahiro is not extremely different from them. As the group talks, Mahiro acknowledges how she was stressing for nothing. Since she feels that it sucks to fail on the rote memorization, Mahiro explains how she’ll be studying accordingly. Hearing this, Mihari decides to bump up the sibling’s allowance.

Time Quest
The next day, Asahi requests if she can copy Momiji’s notes. Miyo and Mahiro later begin to wonder why Asahi doesn’t have a nickname for Momiji. Momiji explains how she was given a nickname in the past but requested that Asahi stopped calling her that. This leads to Asahi describing why she gave her the nickname. At lunch, Mahiro begins to talk about a new game she’s excited about, although her friends don’t relate since it’s more of a boy’s thing. After asking what girls talk about, Miyo recommends talking about romance. However, the others reassure her that girls talk about anything.

The Special Spin
The group then enters the home ec room where the teacher instructs that they will have a project to bake cookies. While the four discuss what they would like to bake, Miyo is ecstatic about baking. However, the friends advise Mahiro that they will gently help her out since she’s not that great at cooking. While Momiji and Mahiro later walk home, the two decide to ask Kaede for baking advice. As the three prepare to cook, Kaede reminisces on the time she used to teach Mihari how to bake and how excited the scientist would get when baking cookies for her brother (which is Miharo, of course).
Back at school, the crew prepares for the baking project and decides that the “special spin” should be adding black tea to the dessert. When the time comes to cut out the cookies, Asahi moves in the way before Miyo-chan attempted to cut them with a bowl. After the cookies are done, the group is very happy with the outcome, and so is the teacher.

Closing
After school, Mahiro decides to give Mihari the cookies they made after school and later play a video game or two. This leads Mihari to hesitate on eating them as they’re too precious. However, she eventually eats and enjoys them.

Opinion
This episode was pretty interesting but overall still cute. I wasn’t surprised that Mahiro struggled with tests given that she should’ve been more prepared. Although, it’s nice to see her having fun in school life. It low-key seems like everyone has a crush on her though. In similarity, it was nice to see a DQ reference! 😊
