Two new films from the “Oomuro-ke” series, a spin-off of the popular “Yuru Yuri,” are set to premiere in 2024. The titles of the upcoming films are “Oomuro-ke: Dear Sisters” and “Oomuro-ke: Dear Friends.“
The “Oomuro-ke” series focuses on the character Sakurako and her sisters, expanding the world of “Yuru Yuri” beyond its original cast. The production of the films will be handled by Passione and Studio Lings, promising high-quality animation and storytelling that fans have come to expect.
For those unfamiliar with the original series, “Yuru Yuri” is a slice-of-life manga by Namori that has been adapted into an anime. The story revolves around first-year student Akari Akaza, who reunites with her childhood friends Yui Funami and Kyouko Toshinou in their all-girls’ middle school. Together, they form the “Amusement Club,” a group dedicated to enjoying their time together and entertaining its members. The series is known for its comedy.
While the air date for the “Oomuro-ke” films is yet to be announced, we know they will be released sometime in 2024. As of now, no synopsis has been released for either film. However, given the series’ roots in the charming and humorous world of “Yuru Yuri,” fans can look forward to more delightful and entertaining stories featuring Sakurako and her sisters.
