The mobile puzzle RPG “Puyopuyo!! Quest” is confirmed to be having another crossover with the iconic comedy-samurai anime, Gintama. This collaboration will feature new characters from the series, as well as returning characters from the previous collaboration.
This collaboration event will be available for about two weeks from May 24 until June 6. The new characters added to the roster are Gintoki in his Shiroyasha (White Devil) uniform and Takasugi as the Kihetai’s leader. Meanwhile, the returning characters that can be obtained again are:
- Gintoki Sakata
- Shinpachi Shimura
- Kagura
- Sadaharu
- Kotaro Katsura
- Isao Kondo
- Toshizo Hijikita
- Sogo Okita
- Shinsuke Takasugi
Not only the new characters will be obtainable, but exclusive Gintama costumes as alternate skins for the game’s characters will also be released. In addition, the game will also serve daily login bonuses, additional quest completion rewards, special story modes for the players, and a Twitter campaign with benefits for lucky participants.
Puyopuyo!! Quest is a smartphone version of the puzzle RPG developed by Sonic Team and published by Sega. It was first released in 2013 and features characters from Sega’s Puyo Puyo series. The game has been in collaboration with several anime series in the past, such as Dr. Slump Arale and Detective Conan.
