With Season 2 just around the corner, it is the perfect time to recap Season 1 of this fascinating show. The Misfit of Demon King Academy might seem like your typical Isekai, but the main point here is that IT IS NOT AN ISEKAI!! It is a fantasy show revolving around Heroes and Demons.
Fans have been waiting for the second season for quite some time now and are expecting some fantastic stuff from it. Without any further ado, let’s BEGIN!!!
Episode 1
The first episode of this show was focused on Anos being the True Demon King. Actually, the Demon King disappeared 2000 Years ago and there’s a Prophecy that the Demon King will reappear again. For this reason, there are special schools where Demons are trained.
Anos, after being reborn, found out about this school and decided to enroll in it. However, there are two categories of students, those who are blessed with special Demon Eyes and those without them. A guy named Zepes Indu was one of the blessed ones. He was looking down upon a girl named Misha Necron who had dropped her letter of introduction.
Anos picked up the letter for her. Zepes found it disrespectful and wanted to assert his authority over Anos. However, it had no effect on Anos. How? Well! Unlike other shows, this show didn’t waste any time telling us that Anos is the TRUE DEMON KING OF TYRANNY!
The famous scene of Anos killing Zepes with just his heartbeat also took place in this episode. It was also shown that Anos loves and respects his parents who are normal demons meaning that he is not evil.
Episode 2
Anos had publicly announced in the previous episode that he is the TRUE DEMON KING! However, no one seemed to believe him. He discovered that the reason for this behavior is that name of the Demon Lord was CHANGED!! Also, Anos did not belong to a Noble Family.
Misha’s older sister Sasha Necron AKA the Witch of Destruction was the strongest candidate and also looked down upon Anos. She challenged Anos to a battle. She hand-picked 15 students for this battle, however, Anos only picked Misha for the battle. Sasha overestimated her abilities and got absolutely DEMOLISHED by Anos. Still, Sasha’s determination in this episode was definitely praiseworthy.
Episode 3
This episode was particularly interesting. One of Anos’ Old Generals Ivis Necron was introduced. However, the interesting thing here is that he didn’t recognize Anos. Apparently, he had lost his memories of 2000 Years Ago. Anos used his powers to return his memory, however, Anos was not in those memories!!! There was an IMPOSTER Avos Dehivea. Ivis and Anos had a long conversation on this topic afterward. Ivis agreed that Anos’ powers rivaled that of the Demon King but he won’t recognize him as the TRUE DEMON KING!
This episode showed that Anos had hand-picked some really great Generals who can think for themselves.
Episode 4
There are a LOT of fascinating moments in this episode. It was revealed that Misha and Sasha were born from the same soul and that they would merge on their 15th Birthday. Apparently, Sasha made Misha hate her because she didn’t want her to feel sad or anything.
Well! Anos helped them and the merging didn’t happen in the end. Anos also defeated a literal GOD OF TIME with relative ease. He also revived Ivis Necron in his true form with all his memories.
Episode 5
After Ivis, some other interesting characters were also introduced including Ray Grandsley who was the reincarnation of Shin Regalia, Anos’ Master Swordsman. We were also introduced to Anos’ Fan Club. Well! Ray had also lost his memories. He asked Anos if he could join his gang. However, Anos replied by saying that he has to prove his worth in a battle.
Following this, Anos, Misha, and Sasha fought against the Anos Fanclub and Ray. Ray had given his sword to Misa, a member of the Fan Club, and was fighting with a normal sword. Keeping this in mind, Anos used a damn STICK to fight and ofc WON!
Episode 6
Another interesting episode in my opinion. Another General named Melheis Boran, who seemed to remember Anos started crying after seeing his MASTER! Well! He did seem a bit suspicious in the beginning.
Anos was also selected by the school to participate in the Swordship Tournament besides Ray Grandley. Actually, this idea was proposed by Melheis. Anos’ father made a special SWORD for his son. His Mom also lectured the WHOLE stadium full of demons who were mocking Anos.
This episode was pretty wholesome.
Episode 7
The first round of the tournament was wayy tooo easy for Anos. Anos entrusted his sword to his mother and left for some work. The girls of the Anos Fan Club accompanied Anos’ mother as her bodyguard.
Anos had also defeated her teacher Emilia Rudewell’s brother. This enraged her as she thought a HALF-BLOOD DEMON had defeated her FULL-BLOOD brother. She decided to take revenge by killing Anos’ mother and the girls. She burned the girls to death and was about to kill Mother when Anos arrived.
He was soooo ANGRY that he tortured Emilia and then reincarnated the Girls as well. This further proved that Anos is a good guy.
Episode 8
The final opponent against Anos was Ray as expected. Anos defeated him pretty easily. It was also revealed that someone had trapped Ray’s mother and was forcing him. The traitor turned out to be Meheis Boran. Anos also defeated him.
However, the main highlight of this episode was SASHA. She had prepared a gift for Anos and tied her hair, especially for this occasion. I didn’t even recognize her in the beginning lol! Their relationship is pretty WHOLESOME ngl.
Episode 9
Besides the Demon King Academy, there is a Hero Academy as well. In order to test their skills, a friendly competition was going to hold against the Hero Academy.
In this episode, we learned that Humans believe that Konan, the LEGENDARY HERO, had defeated Anos and sealed him. And he was the one who created walls in order to save humans from Demons. Well! We know that all of this is a lie but who is behind these lies? There is a huge conspiracy going on!!
Anos also told Sasha that her Demonic Eyes are the most beautiful eyes he has ever witnessed.
Episode 10
This episode was all about the Inter Academy Tournament. The tournament commenced with a Magic Power test. The heroes were able to use their magic easily, Demons, on the other hand, were struggling a LOT. Anos realized that the heroes were cheating. They had used a barrier to limit the demon’s magic power.
Anos also helped the realists, who hate Anos because he claims to be the Demon King, during the Under Water test. Heroes were cheating during this exam as well. Can they win in such circumstances?
Episode 11
This episode is just a FAN SERVICE full of badass moments. Anos, Sasha, Misha, and Ray were up against the Four Heroes who represent Hero Kanon’s Fragmented Souls. And ofc they were cheating once again. They had put up a barrier that drained Demonic Energy. But, this time around, Anos was there to help others.
The hero Ledriano and Diego Kanon Ijaysica wanted to defeat Anos using the power of LOVE of the entire capital. According to them, there were over ten million humans in the capital. They succeeded in pushing Anos a little back, however, it was never enough.
Anos called the Anos’ Fan Club to cheer for him. Eight girls defeated the power of love of ten million humans! How IRONIC!!
Episode 12
This episode was all about Eleanor, Jerga, and Kanon. According to Eleanor, Jerga had betrayed Kanon and killed him. After this, Jerga split his soul into two parts and Eleanor is one of them. Her only purpose is to create clones and fight!
She wanted Anos to kill him, however, Anos instead saved her! However, this beautiful moment got interrupted by Diego and Avos Dilhevia. Where did he come from?
Episode 13: FINALE
The FINALE was kinda emotional ngl. Ray revealed that he was the one who had created the false Avos Dilhevia and his real purpose.
Ray is actually the reincarnation of Hero Kanon. Kanon had HUGE respect for Anos as he willingly sacrificed himself for peace. He wanted humans to respect him too. Anos also respected Kanon. Both of them had a battle that ended with Anos letting Avos (Ray) stab and kill him. Well! It doesn’t really matter as Anos cannot be killed.
Everything was going smoothly until Diego appeared in the Jerga with God-Like Powers. Anos and Ray together defeated him. It was no biggie for Anos as he is wayyy toooo OP.
After everything ended, Anos went back home to his Mom and Dad which is too damn WHOLESOME!!!
Conclusion
With this, the series ended! There were a LOT of things to explain and I’m pretty sure this blog explained most of them.
