Amaama to Inazuma is about Kouhei Inuzuka, a single father who has been taking care of his young child, a daughter named Tsumugi, all on his own after the death of his wife. Despite being a devoted father, Kouhei lacks the skills to cook healthy meals for Tsumugi. Desperate to feed Tsumugi nutritious meals, he took the offer of his student, Kotori Iida, to visit their small restaurant for healthy dishes that Tsumugi may like.

With this, he adopted a girl named Anya and married (not real marriage) a city hall clerk named Yor Briar. Unknown to Loid, these two are also hiding secrets of their own.

Souta thought that the young boy may be living a lonely life, thus deciding to take care of the boy, calling him Poco.
