We’re now officially in October – let’s go over some of the creepiest anime characters we’ve seen on screens this year.
5) Shin Yasuda (Horimiya)

This guy is creepy in the sense of weird creepy. He’s a teacher at Katagiri Senior High School and can often be seen outwardly expressing his desire to date some of the female students. While it’s mostly dealt with using humour, that doesn’t take away from the fact that this guy is way too interested in underage girls. More importantly, why does he think it’s acceptable to go around telling everyone about it? Fire this man immediately.
4) Tetsuo Tosu (My Home Hero)

Tetsuo might be doing everything that he can to protect his family, but as the series progresses you can understandably see his mental health deteriorate. Towards the end, he’s so tired and done with everything he emanates this very unstable, creepy vibe. This is further reinforced during the final scene of the anime where he portrays a twisted, eerie smile. Scary stuff.
3) God (Dark Gathering)

While God didn’t get all that much screentime in Dark Gathering, he had a large impact on the story. This “God” was said to kill Ai Kamiyo on her 20th birthday and take her as his wife. He is one of the strongest spirits in the series, as well as brutal and merciless. He gives off a super creepy vibe due to a mixture of these three elements.
2) Mahito (Jujutsu Kaisen)

Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Mahito has been around and creepy for a few years now, and season two this year is no exception. He has demonstrated his terrifying Idle Transfiguration and his Domain Expansion among other moves this year, but above all the guy himself is just straight weird. He’s one of those characters with an aura of “don’t look at me funny or I might kill you because I’m bored”.
1) Muzan Kibutsuji (Demon Slayer)

Muzan isn’t just scary, but unbelievably powerful. He’s the progenitor of demons and the only one who can create more. If more demons need to be made, Upper Ranks will send a request to Muzan to turn the human in question into a demon. If Muzan approves he will send the Upper Rank some of his blood, which will then be used to demonify the human. In terms of creepiness, Muzan makes this list due to the fear of the unknown. He’s lived among humans for hundreds of years while staying undetected, but at the same time has made many, many more demons that terrorize the world. Not to mention he can transform into both a woman and a child, so you could pass either of those on the street and have no idea it’s the Demon Lord himself that you passed.
Conclusion
There you have it, five creepy characters of this year. Some creepy in the sense of “oh my god he’s gonna kill me” some creepy in the sense of “wow this guy is weird”. Let us know down below if we missed anyone!
