Gyaru girls are one of the most popular types of girls in anime culture. Here are five of the best gyaru that we’ve seen in anime!
5) Yuzu Aihara (Citrus)
Yuzu is very extraverted and outspoken. As a gyaru, she takes a big interest in fashion and can often be seen modifying her uniform and wearing makeup. Despite her lack of knowledge regarding relationships, she pretends to understand the trials and tribulations that people in relationships have to go through.
4) Akari Watanabe (More Than A Married Couple, But Not Lovers)
Akari does everything that a gyaru does perfectly. She has the stereotypical fashion sense and attitude of a gyaru, but deep down, and over time, she develops romantic feelings for Jiro Yakuin – the boy who she was partnered with for the couples training. She never drops her gyaru ways, but as the series progresses she becomes more and more intimate and open with Jiro.
3) Mikoto “Miko-chan” Aiura (The Disastrous Life Of Saiki K)
When she’s not waging war against Reita, Mikoto is probably consistently letting Saiki know about her feelings for him. She’s unashamed, and is often throwing compliments at Saiki to get his attention. She became very popular in her class due to her display of her psychic powers. Like many gyaru she has a laid-back, carefree personality.
2) Ai Kamiyo (Dark Gathering)
Dark Gathering‘s Ai Kamiyo comes in at second. She’s the most recent gyaru on this list, as Dark Gathering is currently still airing as part of the 2023 summer season. Yukana is the main female protagonist of My First Girlfriend Was A Gal. The series contains plenty of fanservice, and Yukana is no exception to this. After accepting Juinchi‘s confession, Yukana introduces him to the life of dating a gal. The only problem is, Junichi has never had any girlfriend before.
