In the first few minutes, we see two things happening simultaneously, a weirdly incoherent sequence of a girl walking in a city covered in snow and an exploded airplane at an airport. It then cuts to the girl closing a novel which lets us know that some of the first few scenes were in fact from that novel. We can see that the girl is standing at the edge of a bridge right now on top of a train track

The girl wants to end her life but before she can do that, a white-haired man shows up behind her and tries to convince her to not do that. The girl threatens the man to back off with a knife but instead, he walks right into the knife. The knife pierces right into his chest but he seems to be just fine and moves the girl away from the edge of the bridge. The girl then yells her unluck is now coming to effect and we see that the place that the man was standing on breaks off and drops him straight into a train running on the track seemingly killing him.

The girl collapses from the guilt of getting the man killed but then we see the man’s head flying from behind her and starts talking. The man is still alive despite only having his head left. The girl runs away due to him being like a zombie, the man wants to know more about this “unluck” of hers so he picks her up again and flies away by the compulsion of the blood from his legs.

They stop on top of the building and the girl reluctantly explains that whoever touches her dies and we can see that the plane that exploded in the beginning was a plane that her parents were in. The man then touches get again, and a box full of bananas falls out of a plane and drops right on top of the man which would be deadly for anyone else except him. The girl tries running away again just for her to step right on a banana and fall off the building. The man saves her before she falls to her death and takes her to his hideout to find out more about Unluck. We then see a group of people led by a man with a katana reporting this incident to someone.

At the undead man’s hideout, the girl tries running away again but this time her jacket is caught on to something while running which causes her hat to fall off. We can see that her hair is extremely long and she explains that no one else can cut it because they would die if they touched her. The man decides to cut her hair for her in hopes of getting the Unluck to activate but before we could know, the undead’s head is cut off by the katana man. Katana man and his underlings try to capture the undead man but fail because the girl’s unluck causes a lighting strike right on the underling that was holding on the to undead man’s head.

After being freed, the undead man kills all the underlings but can’t finish the katana man off because he takes the girl hostage demanding the undead man hand over his head willingly. The undead man complies, cuts his head off, and throws his head towards the Katana man. While mid-air, the girl freed herself and ran towards the head to give it a kiss in order to cause an even stronger Unluck.

The undead man understands what’s going on and tells the girl to run away while he restrains the katana man. A meteor comes out of the sky and hits the two of them. The girl now outside, sees the undead man walking about the impact zone just fine. The undead and the girl share a moment and their names. The girl is Fuuko Izumi and the man is named Andy by her due to him not wanting to tell her his name.

My Thoughts
I think this series shows promise. The premise is interesting and the dynamic between Fuko and Andy isn’t too bad. The action scenes are also well-animated. It’s generally good in all directions. One thing that dislike about this series is the fact that it shows actual sexual harassment by Andy towards Fuko in a comedic tone. I get that he wants to activate the Unluck by touching Fuko but man they didn’t have to make him literally grope her without consent. On the same note, one thing that I do appreciate is the fact that they *at least* make her 18 and not underaged. The age difference is already huge with Andy being at least 100 years old and Fuko being just 18 so I guess at least they tried a little bit. Overall, it was a good first episode minute the sexual harassment.
