These past few episodes have honestly been the most boring in the series thus far. However, going forward, I genuinely believe this one might be the worst so far. Not only does nothing happen, but the comedy falls completely flat.
This episode begins with a proposition I wholeheartedly disagree with.
Why on earth would you do that? For the past 8 episodes Rosa has had the exact same goal; deliver the Devotees to the Special Police so that Han Doryeong doesn’t have to believe Black Dog is bad anymore.
What is there POSSIBLY to recap?
Well, as you’ll see, nothing~!
Rosa’s main method here is to either pick up and throw or punch Devotees so hard they fall into the hands of the Special Police. The first time that’s successful, however the second time we see that she punched a Devotee who’s special ability is that his strength increases based on the amount of damage he takes.
What happens with this guy, you may ask? Nothing at all. We simply move on to the next devotee, who’s ability is to transform into whatever they ate the day before. This is, of course, the giant octopus we already saw and already got an explanation for last episode.
Rosa, afraid, runs away. The octopus chases her, thinking he’s following his leader, Black Dog. Rosa notices that the octopus is destroying everything in its path so in order to prevent further destruction, she turns around and punches it super hard.
However, without giving proper consideration to where the octopus will go, Han Doryeong is forced to grab some lesser-powerful Special Police out of the way to save them from injury. He seems extremely angry at Black Dog, and it’s likely that he believes Black Dog was using this octopus to wreak further havoc.
And if you were hoping for more this episode, sorry~ That’s all you get, apparently.
Opinions / Analysis
This webtoon really needs to start focusing on the main two characters a bit more. It’s starting to get extremely boring with the recaps and the lack of plot development each episode. At this rate, there’s nothing keeping me coming back each week because I feel like Rosa and Han Doryeong’s relationship is going absolutely nowhere.
It’s a trap that many quickly-produced webtoons fall into, and it’s sad that I can see it beginning to happen here, too!
